Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) installs large, heavy constructions for the oil and gas industry at sea such as production platforms and pipelines. HMC is mainly focussed on development of reserves in deep water (2000 metres). For such jobs, HMC has the use of unique equipment such as the deepwater construction vessels (Thialf and Balder) and a dedicated crane vessel (Hermod) with maximum lifting capacities of 8,000 thru 14,000 tons. Heerema Marine Contractors is established in Leiden, The Netherlands and Houston, USA.

Heerema Marine Contractors keeps on looking for new challenges in our industry. That is why two of our SSCV's have been converted into deepwater construction vessels (DCV's). With our vessels, our advanced J-lay systems and an abundance of support equipment, HMC offers the industry solutions for a wide variety of marine construction projects.
