IDEOMA has been collaborating with Bluebeam for so long that we’ve gotten to see almost everyone who started working there. When we run into one of the new collegues, we often joke, “What do you want to know about Bluebeam?” Nevertheless, we, too, need to keep up with Bluebeam’s increasingly professional standards, so we have to participate in the time-consuming circus of certifications. Just like the online user training courses, Bluebeam has also set up a fantastic environment for us, its international partners, to brush up on our knowledge—which actually makes earning one of these certifications quite an enjoyable experience.

^2/4/25 We regularly get questions about Bluebeam Cloud for Android. If you search the Play Store, you’ll only find “Bluebeam Cloud (Preview),” and that’s not a reliable app to work with. The Bluebeam Cloud app has been working fine on the iPad and in the browser for a while now, and Bluebeam promises to catch up for Android tablet users, but for now, there’s still nothing available. You also can’t use Bluebeam Cloud through your Android tablet’s browser, so expect to have to wait another year or so for this feature.

^3/25/25 A free interim update is once again available for those who have purchased GstarCAD version 2025. Within GstarCAD itself, you can check which version you have by going to Help > > > About. If you see BUILD 241224 (or a higher number), you’re all set. If not, it’s a good idea to download the latest version. If you’re not experiencing any problems with your current version, then you don’t need to do anything. After all, if it works, leave it as is.
